Dispose of Unused Rx Medicines on Nevada Take-Back Days


One easy thing that we can all can do to help address Nevada’s opioid crisis is to make a commitment to dispose of unused prescription medications in the home. Doing this helps prevent children, loved ones and/or friends from misusing them. And that can help prevent addiction. Safe disposal also helps protect the environment.

National Prescription Drug Takeback Day is a great time to clean out home medicine cabinets and take advantage of free and safe disposal for unused prescription medications. In most of Nevada, drug takeback day is on Saturday, October 19, and in Clark County, it’s on Saturday, October 26.
